Bob Beranek is the president of Automotive Glass Consultants and the founder, developer and dean of Auto Glass University. Bob started in the auto glass industry in 1973 as an auto glass installer for a large regional auto glass company. He worked his way up in the company eventually becoming the company’s technical expert and training school facilitator and developer. Bob started his own company in 1991 where he developed and conducted training programs for leading companies in the automotive and auto glass industry. In 2011 he co-authored "The Complete Guide to Auto Glass Installation – A Textbook" with his wife Ann Schuelke. Currently, he is the editor of the Auto Glass Journal and blogs for Technically Speaking on Glassbytes.com.
Bob is one of the first technicians in the country to obtain Master Auto Glass Technician certification and was honored with NGA's Len Stolk Special Achievement Award. In 2015, Bob was named by AGRR Magazine as one of the Industry’s Most Influential persons. He is on the Board of Directors for the Auto Glass Safety Council and is Chairman of the AGRSS Standards Committee and sits as a member of the Education Committee.
